Pagani has confirmed that the new Huayra supercar will be sold on the US market later this year through a dealer network: "We are thrilled at the opportunity to represent the Pagani brand in the United States and we look forward to the successful launch of the Huayra," said Horacio Pagani, the company founder. This is the 911 GT3 RSR: a 455bhp race-developed GT car set to battle in 2011's motorsport season.
The new RSR gets 5bhp more than its predecessor from a 4.0-litre flat-six boxer engine revving to an almighty 9,400rpm. That six-banger is mated to a six-speed sequential box, housed in a monocoque body based on the GT3 RS, weighing 1,220kg.
You get four-way gas pressure dampers front and back, double coil springs and an ‘infinitely adjustable' suspension setup. Brakes come courtesy of six and four-piston callipers and 380mm front and 355mm rear diameter discs.
And this version of "the world's most successful GT race car" will set you back just £346,000 plus VAT. Though, you might wanna' take some racing lessons first before you sell that kidney...
